Waver: Use a heat protection spray. Taking small sections of the hair at a time, clamp the tool near the root (you can decide how high up you want the curl to start). Hold for up to 10 seconds depending on how defined you want the curl to be, then release. Move the tool further down the same section and clamp again until it’s all waved. Continue this process on your entire head, until you have a wavy, tousled texture. Then grab a wide-tooth comb and comb through your waves to loosen them. Finish with a texturising spray for a mermaid-like finish.

Styler: Prep with heat protection spray. Beginning at one side of your head (at eyebrow-height), take each section at a time, and wrap around the barrel away from your face. Hold in place for a couple of seconds. The tightness of the curl depends on the width and thickness of your sections. Continue curling, alternating in opposite directions, again holding for a couple of seconds. Repeat process throughout the whole head. Once you have curled all of your tresses, it’s time to set your hair with your favourite styling products, use a soft hair spray or texturising spray to hold the style.
