Crystal Retinal 3 delivers 0.03% retinaldehyde - a next-generation form of vitamin A that converts to active retinoic acid in a single step, which is why it works considerably faster than standard retinol. Medik8's iconic night serum smooths the look of stubborn wrinkles, brightens dark spots, decongests and firms the skin, without the irritation retinoids are known for.

Crystal Retinal 3 is the usual starting point for most people, and the natural next step once you have finished a tube of Crystal Retinal 1. Strong enough to see change, mild enough for nightly use once your skin has adjusted - this is the strength most routines settle on first.

A patented retinal stability system keeps the formula potent until the last drop, which matters with an unstable active - a retinal serum that degrades in the tube stops working long before it is empty. Hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and glycerin keep skin hydrated and comfortable alongside it, offsetting the dryness vitamin A can cause.

Phase it in: twice a week for the first two weeks, every second night for the next two, then nightly. Apply two pumps to a cleansed face and neck in the evening, follow with Advanced Night Restore, and always wear sunscreen the next morning.

How To Use

First-time use: If you're new to Crystal Retinal we recommend a patch test at least 24 hours before first use. Phase application in gradually. Use twice a week for the first 2 weeks, every other night for the next 2 weeks, then every night.

Step 1: After cleansing in the evening, apply 2 pumps of Crystal Retinal to the face and neck. Allow to absorb.

Step 2: Follow with a moisturiser. We recommend Advanced Night Restore which is engineered to be used after vitamin A (retinoids).

Step 3: Always use a sunscreen the next morning after using vitamin A. We recommend Advanced Day Ultimate Protect.

NOTE: We recommend using at least 1 tube of your current Crystal Retinal strength before moving up the ladder to the next strength.
